Chart Settings:

All examples are using 2 minute chart with default settings for TS/T2 (eASCTend 6.0 software). You don't need to use the TSPC/DEV scanning feature for short interval day trading. The HTM can also be used for swing/position trading with any larger time intervals, e.g. 30-min or daily charts.

There is no optimal time interval for trading. Traders should select time intervals according to their risk tolerance and profit expectation. Ablesys software is very flexible and can be used for any time interval. The advantage of the smaller time interval is that the initial risk will be small. But you will have more overhead since you will have more trades. Also, the signal accuracy will be relatively lower comparing to the larger time interval. But the large time interval will have relatively large initial risks.

Here are some setting recommendations that other successful traders are using:

Active day trading (ES/NQ/QQQ):
2 or 3 min chart under the guidance of 15 min chart for an anticipated trending day(after 1-2 choppy day(s)).
3 or 5 min chart under the guidance of 30 min chart for an anticipated choppy day(after 1-2 trending day(s))

Active trading of commodities futures or volatile stocks(Not recommended for Forex):
5 min chart under the guidance of 30 min chart for an anticipated trending period(after many hours of consolidation).
10 min chart under the guidance of 60 min chart for an anticipated choppy period(after a sizable movement)

Swing trading setting(all markets, including Forex):
First, use C.A.R.E. to find the entry area in the daily chart. Then use the 30 min chart to find the optimal entry point.

For position trading of stock and mutual funds(all markets, including Forex):
Use C.A.R.E. (also see below about CARE in Main Entry Rules) to find the entry area in the weekly chart. Then use the daily chart to find the optimal entry point. Manage the positions with the stop values in the program.

Note:
*
Indicator package users need to replace TS with ASCTrend1(T1). Indicator package users also need to apply ASCTrend3 to replace eASCTrnd13(see below).
*
2 minute chart trading is for illustration purpose only. You can use 2, 3 or 5 minute chart for any equities trading. The longer the interval, the less trades you will have.
