Hands-Free Login of IB TWS/eASCTrend60 by Freeware TWSStart (1/14/05)

TWSStart.exe is a freeware. Ablesys is not liable for any support or quality issues that might associate with this freeware. We offer this information here just for your convenience. You can click here to download TWSStart.

Click TWSStart.zip to unzip and install the folder TWSStart_2 under C:\Program Files. (The program assumes that your java is under C:\Program Files\Java and your eASCTrend 6.0 is under C:\Program Files\Ablesys. Please use “java configure” or “external application” to reconfigure them accordingly if this is not the case).

  1. You can add TWSStart.BAT file (C:\Program Files\TWSStart) into your "scheduled tasks" (Start->Settings->Control Panel). After you click "add scheduled tasks", click “next”, and then click "browse" button to locate TWSStart.BAT file.
  2. Highlight TWSStart.BAT. Check "When my computer starts" or "When I log on".
  3. You need to use a dedicated computer for this task so that you can configure the computer to log on automatically when it starts. Learn to do this with Windows help.
  4. Restart when you are done with auto Windows user login.
  5. If you can login “edemo” account automatically by WTSStart, click “configuration” inside TWSStart program (click the TWSStart icon inside system tray if the application is not on the screen).
  6. Highlight and DELETE any “*” inside Username field.
  7. Type in the correct username of your IB TWS (Note: You only see "****…").
  8. Then, highlight and DELETE any “*” inside Password field.
  9. Type in the correct password of your IB TWS.
  10. Go to IB TWS to log off.
  11. Go to TWSStart, click "Trader Workstation"
  12. Click "Run". You should be able to finish your IB TWS account login.
  13. For IB TWS, Go to Configure/Misc.
  14. Select "Tip of the day" and make sure to UNCHECK "show tips at startup".
  15. UNCHECK "Warn on Exit with Positions"
  16. UNCHECK "Prompt When Exiting"
  17. At this point, you can restart the computer. After the reboot, TWSStart will be launched. TWSStart will launch IB TWS. Then launch eASCTrend60. If there is any service disruption, TWSStart will login IB TWS automatically once the service is restored. This is true even after the recovery of a power outage.
